Markaz-e-Umeed celebrated World Health Day with immense fervor & enthusiasm, on Thursday 7th April at Markaz-e-Umeed, Karimabad, Karachi. Markaz-e-Umeed is a charitable school for underprivileged children with special needs.

Students of Dow Medical College were invited in this event. A bunch of 13 students of Dow Medical College, Laila-ul-Qadar, Maha Jahangir, Noman Khurshid, Mustafa Hussain, Maaz Nazir, Muhammad Umar Memon, Muhammad Salar, Hafsa Jabeen, Junaid Hassan, Bilal Ahmed Khan, Tooba Shahbaz, Mahnoor Khalid and Ammara Jamil attended this event.


Different activities for the special children were arranged. Sessions regarding health were given to the mothers of children with special needs by young doctors of Dow Medical College. Beneficial food activities in which games regarding nutrition and healthy eating were included with fun, entertainment and zeal.


Physical activities and an exercise session was arranged as a mean of enhancing fitness level in children with special needs. These special students participated in each and every activity with zeal, zest and enthusiasm. The aim of this event was to educate the mothers of special children regarding health and physical and mental activities.
